Local-first
Metadata is stored in the extension’s own IndexedDB database inside your browser.
Conversation-free
Prompt text, AI responses, conversation titles, and typed content are not stored.
No automatic transfer
The current build does not automatically send data to a developer server, analytics service, or cloud.
What is stored locally
AI provider; Human active-time duration; Detected AI-run duration; Prompt count and timestamps; Selected project and project name; AI-run status and confidence; Tracking settings and connection diagnostics.
What is never stored
Prompt text or AI response text; Typed keys or composer content; Mouse coordinates, clipboard, or screenshots; Uploaded files or passwords; Cookies or authentication tokens; Conversation titles; Full browsing history.
LIMITED ACCESS
Chrome permissions and supported sites
Named Chrome API permissions: None. AI Work Analytics does not request browsing history, cookies, clipboard, camera, microphone, screen capture, downloads permission, all URLs access, or web request interception.

You stay in control
Pause or resume tracking at any time. Export history as CSV, create a full JSON backup, or delete all local tracking data from the extension dashboard.
